A fabulous four nights in Sydney entailed iconic locations, secret destinations and great company. If you haven’t been to Sydney or are thinking of looking now is definitely put the plans into action. Ryan and I located ourselves in the heart of the city in-between Darling Harbour and the famous Bondi Beach.
I always find summing up my travels into one post particularly difficult. We have so many beautiful memories across Australia, but one particular moment for us was spending time around the gorgeous Harbour locations. Sites you see in movies, yes, I quoted finding Nemo maybe too many times..
Each day out of our four nights involved a new experience, the first day we explored the city and proudly embraced the tourist lifestyle. We were both quite happy to find the most gorgeous cocktail bar overlooking the Royal Opera house and Sydney Harbour Bridge. We discovered that we were quite lucky to find this hidden treasure called the ‘Gin Garden‘ as it’s only open within a space of the summer months and exclusive to the Sydney Art Galley.
Our next few days in this gorgeous district we travelled to the Blue Mountains (Post to come!!) We also spent time with friends from home who are now turned-aussie-locals. They were able to take us to the secret locations underneath the normal tourists eye, the secret bars. From bars disguised as barber shops, underground libraries to rooftops the whole experience was ridiculously thrilling in Sydney. Somewhere I hope to visit again, in the near future. Perhaps fashion week? We shall see.
